If you didn’t get it, then I ADORE XMAS. I’m one of those people who start getting ready once July ends, and one of those people that others roll their eyes at because I get to into it. BUT GUYS. HOW AMAZING IS CHRISTMAS?

Reasons to Adore Xmas

LIGHTS. EVERYONE LOVES CHRISTMAS LIGHTS, AND JUST THE WHOLE CHEERINESS OF IT AND ALL THE GORGEOUSLY DECORATED (AND NOT ALWAYS GORGEOUSLY DECORATED) HOUSES ARE JUST MINDBLOWING. LIKE PEOPLE PUT THOSE UP AND YOUR HOUSE IS ALL SHINY AND BRIGHT AND JUST YES.

THE CHILL IN THE AIR. (Realizing I should stop using all these caps, okay). Winter is freaking COLD. (Okay maybe not TX to you Northern Folks, but for me, 40 degrees is already more than I can handle). But there’s just something amazing about the way your hands and nose get numb. Especially when you’re super cold, but super warm because of a cup of hot chocolate in your hands or bc you’re huddled in front of a heater. I dunno I just love it when I’m both cold and warm at the same time.

PRESENTS. Can’t forget the presents. I LOVE WRAPPING PRESENTS OH MY GOD. FAVORITE PAST TIME EVER. I COULD WRAP PRESENTS FOR HOURS. I hate just wrapping things in a box, I always have to find some creative way to put everything together.

HAPPY FEELS. Everyone just always seems so happy near Christmas. (And if they’re not, it’s my duty to make them not unhappy at the VERY LEAST.) I LOVE CHRISTMAS SO FREAKING MUCHHHHHHHH.

What I Did to Celebrate

1) December 1st, I wore a red, white and green outfit to school.

2) I created four different levels of presents

3) At school I gave out 49 Christmas presents (including teachers)

4) I gave out approximately 10 gifts to bloggers and authors

5) Signed up for two secret santas. (I LOVE THOSE THINGS)

6) Put up lights around my house (WE HAVE A GLOWING REINDEER IT IS THE BEST THING EVER)

7) PUT A FREAKING CHRISTMAS TREE IN MY ROOM. (It was glorious)

8) Made my friends come over and string popcorn/wrap presents with me

9) Create a survey of which people liked more (mint chocolate, mint candy canes, christmas cookies, fruit candy canes, peppermint hershey kisses)

10) Created a red santa sack to put all my presents-to-give-out in

11) Put a red bow somewhere on my attire once every week

12) Counted down to Xmas from 58 days away

 

And yes I did make that list 12 things long intentionally.
